Friday night I went to my cousin's sweet 16 party right after work. I had to get ready while at work. I dressed at work and quickly put on my make up. I have never done my make up in a compact mirror before so it was little awkward, but I did a pretty good job I think.
I rented a dress from Rent the Runway, which has become my go to place for dresses. You can see the last dress I rented for Christmas in THIS post. I don't own any evening dresses. I've been actually thinking of investing in at least a little black dress for those moments I need a dress. I do have a Kenneth Cole dress, but it's too big now. Anyway, I rented a Nicole Miller dress that I just loved the moment I wore it.
This is my grandpa, my mom, and me. You can't see the full dress in this picture, but it ends just at the bottom of the picture anyway. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the amazing back of the dress. My hair covered the open back.
I wore black pumps from Dolce Vita, that were surprisingly comfortable. I did get two blisters on my right foot, but my right foot I believe is a little wider than my left and it rubs wrong on shoes that I wear. Either way, I loved the pumps and they look awesome dressed down with jeans. Recommend buying these shoes or similar (like these that aren't in patent leather from Enzo Angiolini). A black pump is must for any woman's closet, whether it be a 4 1/2" heel like mine or a modest 2" pump.
